About this calculator
Overbuild is the extra rubber applied per side and ground away to reach the finished diameter. It is included in the volume, so the weight is what goes onto the core, not what is left after grinding.
Weight is volume × specific gravity × 0.036129, the weight in pounds of a cubic inch of water. Specific gravity is on the compound data sheet, or ask us.
